In contrast to the end of the year where we often look backwards. May is a time of renewal, of new growth and optimism. Time to watch the transformation of the world around you as nature starts to put on a show for us. Are you ready to transform your body and mind ? Consider adding more Yoga to your world. Red Cat Yoga is about to start the switch to a summer program where we take yoga classes outside to parks and on hikes. Stand by for more details on dates and locations.
This month I will be offering a workshop and our first LiveStream - I hope you can attend. BACK TO BASICS-
each MONTH we examine a pose or group of poses.
The difference between Extended Side Angle, Triangle and Pyramid Poses
Hips internal and facing forward
Front knee bent 90 degrees (knee and ankle aligned).
Back leg extended foot about 45 degrees
Arms away from ears, palms in fingers pointed above.
Gaze up to the ceiling.
Hips external to the side
Front knee bent 90 degrees (knee and ankle aligned).
Back leg extended about 45 degrees.
Gaze over front fingers.
Arms extended shoulder level fingers pointed out.
Hips aligned start as in Warrior One then tilt down.
Both knees straightened not locked.
Gaze at ground.
Arms long and extended.
